Heart Helper Mentors Training
The WOW is currently using the Psalm 51 Ministry materials for training Heart Helpers. These materials are written by Dinah Monahan. Her website has all the videos and materials available for free. Once you complete training for both Giving God Your Worst and Breaking the Shackles of Shame, you will be a Heart Helper and can begin leading other women through the books in one-on-one discipleship.
Breaking the Shackles of Shame (online training)
This 14 week study will begin on August 6, 2026 at 7 pm. This is a Zoom support group training.

Please begin studying the material prior to August. This is an in-depth study that requires time and effort prior to the online meetings.

Completion of this study is required to become a WOW Heart Helper Mentor.
Giving God Your Worst
To become a Heart Helper, you are required to go through the initial book: Giving God Your Worst. You can complete this book one-on-one with a Heart Helper or through a group training with the WOW Outreach Coordinator. The next group training through Zoom meetings will begin on Thursday nights at 7pm:
Nov. 12 Chapters 1 & 2
Nov. 19 Chapters 3 & 4
Dec. 3 Chapters 5 & 6
Dec. 10 Chapters 7 & 8
Dec. 17 Chapters 9 & 10
(the remaining chapters will begin in January after Christmas holidays)

Additional required training by WOL:
This is an online training required to be a Heart Helper Mentor at WOL. This is required by WOL Ministries and not Psalm 51 Ministry. You will view online videos pertaining to important Coaching/Mentoring skills and SC Law requirements. After viewing the videos, you will have group discussions with fellow Heart Helper Mentors and the WOW Outreach Coordinator. Once you register to be a Heart Helper Mentor, the WOW Outreach Coordinator will contact you about this training. Heart Helpers must be enrolled in or have completed the School of Ministry at Word of Life Ministries in order to teach at WOL. Background checks are required and prior ministry experience or teaching is helpful.
